Are plastic containers safe? Most plastic cups,plates & containers are but some of them are not. Look on the bottom of your plastic to find the recycling symbol, inside the recycling symbol is a number & then you will know if it's safe or not.
Below is the code to help you find out whats in your kitchen. I went into my kitchen and decided to check and guess what I found a 7 on the bottom of a cup that my boys use all the time. I put that cup in the garbage right away. Better to be safe than sorry!
Know The Codes:
1,2,4 & 5 are the safest
3 & 6, as these leak chemicals that may be harmful to you and your family members
7 has polycarbonates in it and I would put that in the trash right away

When I turned around......
I was working on the computer or should I say searching for new materials for homeschooling. There was a noise in the back ground like something being dropped on the floor so I turned around and what do I see? My son Charles sorting the colors bears into the bowls. Of course I had to take pictures so my hubby could see what Charles was up to while he was away at work. :)

I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post.
I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post. We have been really busy the last few weeks. I delivered a litter of chihuahua puppies the first day of September,working on homeschool materials,baking a peach cobbler from a recipe I found online. & etc.
Three weeks ago my kids had a play-date with one of my friend's kids. It was nice to see Christy and her little girls.
I want to share one of the projects I made. Please meet Mr.Munch! This can be used for learning spelling words,math & etc. I got the idea for Mr.Munchy from:

Today we had a visit from two of the puppies from the first litter. It was really nice to see them and my childhood friend Herbert. I have also included a photo of the new puppies.

Our homeschool room...
Before I got pregnant with my 3rd child I had a room just for all our homeschool materials but the baby had to have a bedroom so now my whole home is our homeschool room.

My laminator is located in the kitchen until I found a new home for it.

I had 5 kids for 24 hrs.
Last Tuesday... Lisa's children stayed the night.
After dinner the children made paper bag puppets.
My Aunt Donna stopped by and joined in on the fun.
The puppets are finished.
Before bed the children played a few games.
My youngest child was playing with a few toys.

A few weeks ago...my family went to a really nice art gallery and had a great time. I just had to share a few pics. I have to admit that I went back again with my childhood friend Brandi and she spent some money on artwork for her younger siblings bedrooms.

I know I've gotten behind on posting but I have been really busy. We purchased 3 bookcases from Walmart about 2 weeks ago. I decided to use them as extra storage for our homeschool materials like math counters,wood blocks,science supplies & etc. The boys are having fun being able to use or play with the materials when ever they want too.
I am still doing my own workbox system with my kids. On top of the bookcases are 4 baskets. Each child has his/her own basket and the 4th basket is for completed work. Each night I fill the baskets with the work that needs to be done the following day and when the kids are finished he/she can place there completed work in the 4th basket.
